Welcome on the 18th of April 2012 to a Lunch Seminar 12.00 – 13.00 at HDK by Claus Noppeney on the topic: Design processes in artistic perfumery.
At the first lunch seminar this spring we welcome Professor Claus Noppeney from Hochschule der Künste Bern in Switzerland. Claus will tell us the most unusual story of an extraordinary design process in the emerging field of artistic perfumery.
What is special about the brand is that each scent is inspired by "atypical, emotionally evocative, motifs such as madness, melancholy and fury”. In the highly competitive perfumery market each of the eight existing scents is discussed as “a unique artwork in a modern flacon of clear, streamlined design”.
Claus analyses the different design processes culminating in the creation of a new fragrance. He particularly looks at the objects and objectual practices facilitating, mediating and stimulating the design processes. He builds his lecture on the ongoing study of the brand Humiecki & Graef and the collaboration between the artistic leader Sebastian Fischenich and the perfumers “Les Christophs".
